Villa Fatum is an award-winning tropical modern residence situated in Badung, near the vibrant Canggu area of Bali. Built on 400 square meters of land with a 250-square-meter building footprint, this two-bedroom villa masterfully navigates its sloped terrain across multiple levels. The project earned 3rd place at the IAI Bali Awards, recognized for its innovative approach to hillside tropical living.
Villa Fatum embraces its sloped site rather than fighting it, creating a cascading architectural composition that reveals new perspectives at every level. The centerpiece infinity pool stretches 12 meters along the contour, reflecting the rice fields beyond and blurring the edge between built form and nature. This thoughtful response to topography and landscape earned the project recognition from the Indonesian Institute of Architects, cementing its place as a benchmark for terrain-sensitive tropical design.
