The Rivershore Estate Bali is a grand residential estate in Tabanan, Bali, set along the banks of one of the region’s flowing rivers. The design embraces the vast scale of its Tabanan site — known for Bali’s most spectacular rice terraces — creating an estate that merges the grandeur of a luxury resort with the intimacy of a private family compound.

Design Concept

The Rivershore Estate Bali operates at a scale that allows architecture and landscape to exist in genuine dialogue. Rather than a single monolithic structure, the estate is composed of distinct pavilions — living, sleeping, entertaining, contemplating — each positioned to optimize its relationship with the river, the rice fields, and the prevailing breezes. This pavilion approach draws from traditional Balinese compound planning, where the space between buildings is as important as the buildings themselves, allowing nature to flow through and around the architecture.
