About Us
A Bali-based architectural firm blending traditional Balinese aesthetics with modern functionality since 2010.
From our 16 years of experience handling clients and projects, we believe that every design tells a personal story. We understand our clients are not only building property or a house, but it is also an important part of their journey in life.
This inspires us to give our clients a meaningful design journey rather than just a design or drawing. In Lumbung Architect, we believe there is a journey in every design.
Studio Lumbung Architect (SLA) was founded in 2009 and has grown from a small studio in Bali to an award-winning firm with offices in Bali and Jakarta, serving clients across Indonesia and internationally.
About Principal
I Gusti Ngurah Andri Saputra co-founded SLA Group and serves as CEO. He graduated in 2008 after studying architecture at Udayana University. Starting his career from the bottom, he worked at several foreign architecture firms in Bali (Australian and French firms) to build experience and discipline.
He also spent time in design-build and property, learning hands-on about materials and construction techniques. In 2009, he established his own architecture studio, and by 2017 expanded to Jakarta — starting from a small 2x2 meter room that grew into a 40 sqm office with a 15-person team.
His message to the team reflects SLA's culture: hard work, discipline, and willingness to keep learning are the keys to success — not academic background or credentials alone.
The daily habits and principles that guide every team member at SLA.
Greeting everyone — team members, clients, and visitors. Building the habit of warm, professional welcomes.
Mutual respect across all backgrounds. We honor diversity and maintain professionalism in every interaction.
Stay focused on the company vision and mission in every daily activity. Prioritize what truly matters.
Coordination, initiative, collaboration, and good communication across all departments to achieve shared goals.
Continuous And Never-Ending Improvement. Even 1% daily improvement compounds into extraordinary results.
Prioritize what is important. Weekly meetings, clear agendas, and disciplined time management.
Always deliver above client expectations — faster, better, and with care in every detail.
The Balinese philosophy of three causes of well-being that guides every aspect of our design and company culture.
The spiritual dimension in our design — respecting the divine presence in every space we create.
Teamwork, compassion, and collaboration — building strong relationships between team, clients, and community.
Preserving and responding to landscapes — designing with deep respect for the natural environment.
